lReflecting on an Incredible Year of Fundraising for MacMillan.
As we wrap up another year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible fundraising journey we’ve had in support of MacMillan Cancer Support. Thanks to the hard work, passion and generosity of everyone involved, we’ve raised a total of £3853 to help MacMillan continue their vital work.
This year we have held four fantastic events, each one bringing people together for a fantastic cause. Here’s a quick recap of our fundraising highlights:
We kicked things off by challenging the Luctonians 2NDs XV team to score as many points as possible throughout their remaining games. For every point they scored, we donated £1 to MacMillan. It was a thrilling start to our fundraising efforts, combining the excitement of rugby with the chance to raise money for those affected by cancer. The competition was fierce, and the sense of teamwork and community made it a fun and successful way to start our journey.
Next up was our Brave the Shave event, where Rebecca took the plunge and shaved her head to raise money for MacMillan. It was an emotional and inspiring day, with Rebecca showing incredible courage, letting go of her hair to support such an important cause, raising a total of £3010.00!
Kayleigh then stepped up to the plate and took on the challenge of walking 100 miles for MacMillan. She accomplished this by walking before work, during lunch breaks and exploring the beautiful countryside and canals at weekends! Every step raised more money for those effected by cancer.
To end the year on a festive note, we hosted a Christmas Jumper Day where everyone wore their silliest, sparkiest and most creative Christmas Jumpers. It was a fun filled day that spread holiday cheer while supporting a cause close to all our hearts.
We are over the moon to announce that, thanks to everyone who participated, donated and supported, we’ve raised £3853 this year. It’s an incredible amount, that will support Macmillan in their tireless work to provide care and support to people affected by cancer.
But we are not stopping here! We’re excited to share that our fundraising efforts will continue in 2025, with even more events coming soon! We can’t wait to announce the details and hope you’ll join us again for another year of making a real difference.
Let’s keep the momentum going and make next year even bigger and better!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
