Description
It is widely recognised that certain driving styles, particularly stop/start driving, can affect the ability of a vehicle’s Diesel Particulate Filter to regenerate effectively. This can lead to a serious build up of particulate matter and soot in the DPF, eventually causing the engine to operate in limp mode or refuse to run altogether, resulting in a potentially expensive DPF service or even replacement.
Fortron Diesel Particulate Treatment (DPF) has been formulated as a fuel tank additive to treat this problem and to act as a preventive maintenance tool. Fortron Diesel Particulate Treatment contains a proven catalytic additive which reduces the size of the soot particles produced during combustion and lowers the temperature at which the soot is burned off during the regeneration process, allowing a more complete and rapid regeneration of the particulate filter, even under less than optimum driving conditions, such as prolonged urban driving cycles.
